Founded in 2019 with offices in Denver and Crested Butte, Colorado, Currie Consulting Group (CCG) is a public engagement firm that transforms individual stories into community-wide solutions. Our consortium of seven engagement professionals brings over 70 years of combined experience to community projects across Colorado.

CCG helps residents understand what projects can and cannot do for their community. We share personal impact stories based on community input, to ensure our messaging is relevant, realistic, and reflects community desires. Our Team
Venita Currie
Venita is the founder and principal of Currie Consulting Group (CCG), founded in 2019 with offices in Denver and Crested Butte, Colorado. With more than 26 years of experience as a former journalist, public relations specialist, and media relations expert, she is a seasoned public engagement consultant who has worked on several high-profile projects. Venita has extensive experience partnering with respected community members and leaders who can bridge language and cultural gaps to reach people who might not otherwise share their input.

Samantha “Sam” Haas
Sam brings twelve years of hands-on experience creating meaningful community engagement processes that unites diverse perspectives around shared values. She has a unique combination of academic training and real-world conflict resolution skills. These skills are invaluable on projects that require trade-off discussions. Her wide range of experience includes facilitating heated discussions about redistricting in Denver and helping a mountain town navigate development tensions. Sam is trained to ensure our engagement processes are always respectful and held in safe welcoming spaces.

Renee S. Morris
Renee is an award-winning executive with expertise in developing and executing highly effective communications and outreach campaigns, marketing initiatives, and brand strategies. A creative and strategic thought-partner, Renee transforms visions into reality using extensive project management expertise, innovative problem-solving skills, and a laser-focus on customer service and success. Her strengths include strategic planning and execution, marketing campaigns, project and budget management, communications and collateral, brand building and positioning.

Kim has extensive experience with government, policy, community engagement and event planning, including serving the City and County of Denver as Project Coordinator of the U.S. Conference of Mayor’s Annual Convention as well as coordinating events for the National Breast Cancer Coalition for members of Congress in Washington, D.C. Her talents include developing community partnerships for projects that require collaboration between government, community groups, business and cultural leaders. Her experience includes project management, fundraising, public relations and communications.

At CCG, Nichole turns community input into memorable visual stories. She translates survey data and public feedback into succinct graphics that serve as proof points—demonstrating that project decisions are rooted in what residents actually said.
