Finding the way to zero traffic deaths

Community Transportation Networks: South Central Denver*

Eliminating traffic fatalities by 2030 requires more than engineering—it requires listening. Venita led community engagement across 12 south central Denver neighborhoods to advance safer streets, high-comfort bikeways, and multimodal connections. Through virtual open houses, 150+ hours of office time for one-on-one consultations, and a 40-member stakeholder working group, we ensured that every voice could shape the network. The result: 3,500 survey responses and 24 transportation projects moving from planning to reality.
