A mountain of opinions

Crested Butte Community Compass*

In a mountain town where competing interests can run as high as the peaks, Venita and Sam served as facilitators to help Crested Butte find common ground. Through stakeholder working groups, advisory committees, and skilled conflict resolution, we guided conversations that transformed tension into consensus. The outcome: four core community values and a Community Compass framework that now guides the town's regulations, investments, and services—built on a foundation of authentic community dialogue.
